“Green Connections: 18th century conversation between gardeners in England and America”
Friday, January 31, 2025
9:30am

Kirkland Moore made his love of green things a career, his first job at Colonial Williamsburg researching 18th century plants and planting habits. There he made lifelong friends in the research library where he met 18th century writers who repose on the shelves. Robert Furber, Philip Miller, Bernard McMahon and dozens of others help connect Moore with a long-ago world of gardening friendships.  Today, Moore spends time, when not in his beloved Highlands, NC, traveling around America sharing stories, seeds, cuttings and garden love.
Tickets for this presentation are $50 and include a copy of "The Gardener's Calendar for South-Carolina, Georgia, and North-Carolina," a light breakfast, and admission to the Show and Sale on the same day as the presentation.
