A Look in to the Background and Work of D. Stanley Dixon Architect
This presentation generously sponsored by Brian Branton and Luke Kindred
When: Friday, February 6, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Description:
Named one of the New Faces of Southern Style, Stan Dixon, AIA, is the president and founder of D. Stanley Dixon Architect, Inc. In his debut book, HOME, Stan shares 13 projects that vary geographically and stylistically—from a whimsical coastal retreat on Jupiter Island to an elegant English-manor-inspired dwelling on the coast of South Carolina. In this presentation, Stan will discuss his attachment to authentic architecture while also revealing moments, both large and small, from his life that have shaped his aesthetic.
His work has been featured in major shelter publications, and he is a three-time winner of the Southeast Architect of the Year Award. Dixon is a 19-time winner of the Philip Trammell Shutze Award, a two-time winner of the Addison Mizner Medal, and a recipient of the Acanthus Award.
